Teen Group Program Leader

CGC looks for creative, caring individuals to work with teens within our family camp program. Teen leaders work closely in a two-person team to provide engaging experiences to small groups of campers between the ages of 13 and 17. Leaders will facilitate group decisions around scheduling, activities and trips and manage logistics and execution of those plans.

Dates: July 26rd-August 15th

Pay: $560/week for onsite staff (room and board included), commuting staff rates can be negotiated.

This position involves:

• Working with a co-leader to provide supervision and engaging programming for teens ages 13-17.
• Upholding the emotional wellbeing and physical safety of teens in the program;
• Taking direction from the Program Coordinator and Camp Director;
• Arriving on time for the entire scheduled shift;
• Preparing supplies and coming up with activity plans;
• Light cleaning and tidying to make sure spaces are sanitary and clean;
• A sense of humor, enthusiasm, patience and self control. Camp counselors must understand what it takes to be a positive role model.
• Availability to work evening hours and weekends during camp sessions.

• Experience working with teens
• First Aid/CPR certification a plus
• Lifeguard certification a plus
