Peer Recovery Specialist – ''Interlude'' Alternative Crisis Support Project
Posted: 03/09/2025This position provide support to adults coping with mental health crises. This innovative project uses peer support and offers a welcoming, comfortable space to be in while considering options to get through a difficult time. Your approach comes from your personal lived experience with recovery and resiliency. You would provide peer support services for people coping with distressing experiences and situations and connect them to supports and resources within the community. You would also participate in Open Dialogue/Collaborative Network meetings with training offered accordingly.
Qualifications include:- Your own experience with mental health challenges
- Being able to build relationships with different personalities
- Listen with curiosity, not giving advice unless asked
- Ability to help make people feel safe
- Well-established self-care routines and recovery skills
Must have valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle.
Part-time flexible hours – afternoon & evening availability preferred.
Benefits eligible for positions of 20 hours or more.
