• Maintenance Coordinator

    The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the Middlebury production facility, equipment, and grounds are maintained, repaired, and updated as needed for efficient, cost-effective, and safe operation. 
     
    JOB SUMMARY
    Production Mechanical Support:
    · Maintenance support for Roastery, Packaging lines, Warehouse, and all supporting equipment.
    · Maintain and execute preventative maintenance program for all areas (including calibrations).
    · Order and maintain adequate parts, critical spares, and supplies.
    · Recommend, evaluate, participate in the installation of new equipment and/or line improvements.
    · Assist with facility capital expense projects.
    · Work on the lines as a back-up, as needed/available. 

    Facilities, Grounds, Systems:
    · Conduct regular inspections of all areas and maintain records.
    · Maintain functional HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems.
    · Maintain clean and functional grounds (parking lot, loading docks, external walls, stairs, doors, roof, etc.).
    · Maintain and execute (or coordinate with vendors) preventative maintenance program in all areas.
    · Order and maintain adequate inventory of dry goods, cleaning supplies, filters, light bulbs, and other supplies.
    · Rubbish removal.
    · Inspect, monitor, and maintain records as needed for: 

    • Ladders
    • Fire extinguishers
    • Eyewash/shower stations
    • Carbon monoxide detectors
    • Chemical programs/SDS
    • Other compliance areas
    · Participate in monthly Food Safety internal audits as needed.
    · Coordinate with landlord and property manager as needed, Vermont Industrial Parks, LLC. 

    Coordination of external contracted services:
    · Pest Control
    · Rubbish removal
    · Landscaping and snow removal
    · Annual water testing· Fire alarm, fire extinguisher, sprinkler annual testing
    · Cleaning service
    · Others as needed  


    Requirements:
    1. High School Diploma and minimum of 5 years of related experience. 
    2. Attention to detail – Ability to develop and maintain files and records. 
    3. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred).
    4. Demonstrated can-do, service-oriented mindset. 
    5. Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact effectively at all levels of the organization. 
    6. Experience working in a manufacturing facility strongly preferred.
    7. Experience in project management a plus.
    8. Must have working knowledge of the major construction/service trades, such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Knowledge of general construction, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, equipment controls, contract cleaning, etc. required. 
    9. Ability to stand for 8 hours, lift, bend, stretch and climb ladders and stairs.
    10. Adhere to all Food Safety programs and procedures.
    11. Ability to occasionally work nights and weekends as needed for project work or during emergencies.
