    Summary Description: Senior Project Engineer manages medium to larger scale projects. Provides senior level oversight and management of engineering staff.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Applies broad knowledge of principles and practices in a specific practice area.
    • Acts in responsible charge of medium to large-sized projects.
    • Provides mentorship, guidance, and support to engineering staff.
    • Applies leadership and teamwork skills to effectively plan, execute, and manage scopes, schedules, and budgets to meet project stakeholder needs.
    • Assigns tasks to and directs other technical and non-technical staff.
    • Plans and coordinates detailed aspects of the engineering work. 
    • Reviews and assists with proposals to provide professional services and/or obtain funding for engineering projects or programs.
    Requirements
    • Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field.
    • Experience: 5 to 10 years of progressive engineering experience.
    • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 
    • Licensed professional engineer.
    • Understanding / experience with State of Vermont Act 250 Land Use and stormwater permitting.
    • Excellent client service skills for design meetings, presentations, coordination with other consultants and the client.
    • Ability to coordinate and schedule subtasks.
    • Construction project administration and oversight experience.
    • GIS experience.
    • On site wastewater treatment design.
    • An active member of professional organizations.
    • Software experience/proficiency.
    • AutoCAD, esp. Civil 3D.
    • Hydraulic/Hydrologic modeling software (HecRAS, HydroCAD, or similar).
    Salary
