First and Second Multigrade Teacher

Champlain Valley Christian School is a family-oriented, academically rich elementary and middle school located in Vergennes, Vermont. We provide a Christian education to students in grades K-8, emphasizing a strong partnership between parents, the church, and the school.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate first and second multigrade teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment that aligns with our Christian values. This role involves teaching a range of subjects, including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies, from a Christian perspective.

Responsibilities:
Teaching and Curriculum Development: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with our school's curriculum and Christian values.

Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.

Student Support: Provide individualized support to students as needed, ensuring each child reaches their full potential.

Communication: Foster strong relationships with parents through regular updates and collaboration.

Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices.

Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.

Certification: Vermont teaching certification or eligibility for certification.

Experience: Prior teaching experience preferred but not required.

Christian Commitment: A personal commitment to Christian values and the ability to integrate these into teaching practices.
