The ideal candidate combines strong accounting expertise with operational acumen, preferably in the whiskey or beverage industry, and thrives in a dynamic, remote work environment.Location: RemoteExempt/Non-Exempt: ExemptShift: -not applicable-Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-TimeCategory: Accounting/FinancePosition: Senior Financial Inventory AnalystEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInventory & Financial Analysis:- Perform monthly reconciliations of barrels, OPGs, and general ledger accounts.
- Analyze inventory movements specific to whiskey production, including maturation and barrel aging, ensuring accuracy and cost control.
- Update barrel operation models and provide detailed commentary on actuals and financial guidance.
- Reconcile general ledger balances with subsidiary ledgers, addressing variances.
Operational Accounting:- Develop and maintain data for material management, bills of materials, and production models.
- Provide detailed operational financial reports monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting practices, optimize workflows, and support strategic initiatives.
- Evaluate operational performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying trends and optimization opportunities.
Financial Modeling & Reporting:- Update financial models, including the semi-annual strategic bourbon maturation model.
- Maintain dashboards tracking KPIs related to whiskey production and inventory.
- Prepare cost/profit analyses and assist with budgeting, financial statements, and strategic plans.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and industry regulations.
Cost Optimization & Strategic Support:- Monitor cost accounting processes, including standard costs, variances, and liquid inflation guidance.
- Regularly review labor, work-in-process, and sales forecasts to align financial goals with operational strategies.
- Assist in special projects, such as new product launches and used barrel support initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:- Support liquid recovery improvements and operational efficiency enhancements.
- Provide ad hoc analyses and support other accounting functions as needed.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the Company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.Required Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesEducation:- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years in inventory, cost, or operations accounting.
- 10+ years overall accounting experience (preferred).
- Prior experience in the whiskey or beverage industry is highly desirable.
Skills & Attributes:- Expertise in accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to manage competing demands and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement and adaptability in dynamic operations.
