Betsy Bishop, President of the Vermont Chamber, will lead the discussion by addressing topics that include:

Betsy Bishop is the President of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, the largest statewide business organization in Vermont. She has held this position since 2009 and during her tenure she has restructured the benefit model to grow the organization’s membership and revenue with a renewed focus on economic growth. She is also the founder of the Vermont Futures Project which imagines and plans for a robust economic future for Vermont. Betsy leads the Chamber’s four-person lobbying team with a focus on workforce, health care, tax and economic development policy. She has advocated for issues in the State House for over 20 years.
 
Charles Martin is the Government Affairs Director for the Vermont Chamber of Commerce.  He joined the Vermont Chamber team in October 2018 after previously serving as a legislative fellow on Capitol Hill, and more recently on Senator Patrick Leahy’s legislative staff. Charles assists the Vermont Chamber’s lobbying team in policy analysis, advocacy and lobbying coordination. In his role he focuses on economic development, workforce, labor policy and environmental regulation.
