Art on the Trails, Natural Pigment Pr...Description
Artist Mira Cabrera creates abstract landscape paintings using a combination of natural foraged pigments and traditional mediums. Join Middlebury Studio and MALT during Vermont Craft Council’s Open Studio Weekend for a unique event designed to bring art to the outdoors!
Participants are invited to hike a short self-guided gallery walk along a TAM trail, with Mira’s original paintings displayed along the way. After viewing the artworks, Mira will be available to demonstrate the process she uses to forage and incorporate natural pigments from the trails into her work.
Watercolor supplies and natural earth pigments and guidance from instructors from Middlebury Studio School will be provided for those who wish to create their own masterpiece to take home. No prior experience is necessary, and artists of all ages are encouraged to enjoy this event.
Follow along with @growing_in_process, @middleburystudioschool, & @middleburyarealandtrust on social media for more of the journey!
